Open Hands: trusting Jesus with everything
Jesus talked a lot about money, not because he needed it, but because he knew our hearts are often tied to it. In this series we’ll discover what it means to faithfully manage everything God has entrusted to us, find freedom from the pressure of always needing more, and learn the joy of living with open hands. We’ll explore practical, Biblical wisdom for money, generosity and everyday stewardship. When Jesus is magnified in our eyes, possessions become minimised in our hands.

23/8 It all belongs to Jesus
Stewardship begins by recognising that Jesus is Lord over everything. We don’t own our lives or our possessions. We are faithful managers of what he has entrusted to us. Everything changes when we stop asking, What’s mine? and start asking, What has Jesus entrusted to me? From our money and possessions to our time, gifts and opportunities, every part of life belongs to him. Stewardship isn’t about giving God a percentage. It’s about living under the lordship of Jesus. 30/8 Trusting Jesus with tomorrow
Jesus invites us to replace anxiety and accumulation with trust and wise stewardship. Money often promises security, but it rarely delivers peace. Jesus calls us to seek his kingdom first, live wisely, and trust our heavenly Father with tomorrow. This week we’ll discover practical Biblical wisdom for managing money without being mastered by it. Matthew 6:19-34, 1 Timothy 6:6-10, 17-19, Proverbs 21:5.
6/9 Living open-handed
The generosity of Jesus creates generous people. Generosity isn’t something Christians do to earn God’s favour. It’s our response to the incredible generosity we’ve already received in Christ. As we look at the grace of Jesus, we’ll discover the freedom and joy of living open-handed toward God, his church and the people around us. 2 Corinthians 8:1-15, 2 Corinthians 9:6-15, Acts 20:35.
13/9 Well done
One day we’ll give an account for how we used everything Jesus entrusted to us. The goal isn’t success or wealth – it’s faithfulness. Life is about far more than accumulating possessions. One day we’ll stand before Jesus, and the question won’t be how much we owned, but how faithfully we lived. This final message lifts our eyes from temporary wealth to eternal reward, inviting us to invest our lives in what truly lasts. Matthew 25:14-30, Matthew 6:19-21, 1 Corinthians 3:10-15.
