A new night service in Cairns
The Lakes Church now has two services each Sunday in Cairns! 9.30am and 5.30pm. Our 5.30pm service launches on Sunday 15th May, 2022.
We believe a night service will allow us to reach people we’re currently missing with only a morning time slot. We also believe it will help create some space in our morning service to keep growing without becoming too full for new people to feel welcome.
Each service will feature the same message, similar music and an opportunity to share in communion together. The idea is that you can attend either service and still have a full, rich, church service and church community experience.
There are a few features we want you to know about as you prepare to join our 5.30pm service:
Coffee and supper
You can arrive before the service and get a coffee. Our team will be making coffees up until 5.25pm each Sunday. We’ll also have supper together after each service so you’ll have plenty of time to spend together.
Lakes Kids
At 5.30pm your kids can worship with you and spend time at activity tables in the auditorium during the service (at 9.30am your kids can engage with a full Lakes Kids program in the hall during the service).
Livestream
At 5.30pm we won’t be live streaming the service. If you can’t make it on Sunday night you can still catch up on the worship and message from earlier in the day on our YouTube channel.
